December 11, 2012 US TOUR DATES CONFIRMED
As announced a while ago, for the first time in many years, K's Choice
will be touring the US with the Echo Mountain and Little Echoes albums.
You can find all tour dates on our tour page.
September 18, 2012 ECHO MOUNTAIN AND LITTLE ECHOES AVAILABLE IN NORTH AMERICA
As of Tuesday, September 18th, the two latest European releases, Echo Mountain and Little Echoes, will be available in North America at your favorite indie record stores, plus, at all of your favorite digital stores too.
For those across the Atlantic who weren’t aware of these European releases, Echo Mountain is the band’s first studio album in almost a decade.
After the world tour in support of Almost Happy, the band went on hiatus as Sarah and Gert launched other projects. But after a period of reflection, brother and sister relaunched K’s Choice in 2010 with the release of their fifth studio album, Echo Mountain, a double disc set, which features some of the finest K’s Choice material of their entire career, and runs the gamut from folk and pop to alternative and hardrock, as evidenced by such standouts as Killing Dragons, 16, and the leadoff single/video, Come Live the Life.
A year and a half after their comeback album, K’s Choice released another album, an acoustic one, entitled Little Echoes, recorded live in the Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville, North Carolina. This album features some incredible new originals, acoustic arrangements of K’s catalog favorites, mixed in with four custom selected cover songs.
Now, after the European success of Echo Mountain and Little Echoes and two years of extensive touring in all major European cities, both albums are being released in the USA.
A North American tour is in the pipeline for 2013! We'll keep you updated on cities and schedules.
April 16, 2012 K'S CHOICE WRITING SOUNDTRACK Sarah and Gert are currently finetuning their songs and compositions for their upcoming album, which they will soon start recording at Echo Mountain in Asheville together with keyboardplayer Reinout Swinnen.
It will be a soundtrack for the documentary on the antarctic adventures of Dixie Dansercour and Sam Deltour.

Dear all,
Concerning our shows in Israel…
We never labeled our band as political, but since we consider ourselves to be concerned people who believe in human rights and in doing the right thing, we have a page on our site called “ACT!” in which we invite everyone to visit organizations we support, like Amnesty, Oxfam, Unicef, Avaaz, etc…
A while ago someone posted a letter on our website’s forum telling us how deeply disappointing it was to learn that we were playing Israel, especially because of our sympathy for these organizations who she, I believe in most cases rightfully, claims are pro boycotting Israel.
This, she added, makes us hypocrites.
Recently a blog has been set up inviting people to sign a petition to urge us, K’s Choice, to join the Israel-boycott by cancelling our shows there. The blog briefly explains the Israel-Palestinian situation, and concludes the only right thing to do for an international artist is to not perform in a country whose government is responsible for this.
We are politically aware, but no political experts, so the last thing we want to do is open a public politics debate on our site. It’s important to have these, but there are other sites more suitable for this (like the ones we put on our ACT!-page).
I am not writing this to question these blog-activists’ good intentions, nor to tell you the Israeli or the Palestinian authorities were/are guilty or innocent of certain crimes.
We do have our thoughts on this, but admit that we consider ourselves not to be sufficiently educated in politics to share this in a public forum.
I am simply writing this to share that in Tel Aviv we will be playing for the Israeli people, for our fans. We are musicians who live for sharing beauty with everyone who lives to do the same. I have met a lot of good people in Israel, as I have everywhere else in the world, which answer to this description.
I am convinced we would meet plenty of kindred spirits in say Ramallah, too.
Reading the messages on our forum I learned from a Belgian girl called An who’s currently living there that people cannot come to our shows, because they are regrettably being denied entrance to Israel.
As long as this is the case, I can only say we would very much welcome the thought of a local promoter contacting us about playing a show in the West Bank one day.
Like I said : we want to share our music with everyone who’s into it, so we would look forward to that.
Some of the organizations on our site have a different view from us on how to be part of a solution (boycott vs no boycott). That doesn’t mean we want to take them off our site. These organizations mean a lot to us and to the world. They make a difference, no matter how small, so we want them on there for people to discover.
If all of us, everywhere and all around the world (not just artists, I mean everyone and from every profession, and yes : activists, too) would decide only to work in countries whose leaders are righteous and pure at heart, there would be very little activity, and no progress whatsoever.
I’ve been thinking about writing this for months, and all this time I didn’t because I was under the impression common sense made it unnecessary. But apparently I was wrong: someone publicly questioned our integrity and I honestly believe they were wrong to do so.
Peace,
Gert
